About Us
A House of God in the Heart of the Mall.
Who We Are
Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Chapel is a 200-seat place of worship located on the Third Level of SM Makati, near the MRT Ayala entryway, accessible to commuters, shoppers, and anyone seeking a moment of stillness amid the bustle of the city.
Designed by Casas + Architects, Inc., the chapel draws inspiration from the modern designs of SM's other chapels in SM City North EDSA and SM City Grand Central, all sharing the same name and patroness, Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary.
The chapel features the Sacred Sculptures of the Crucifix, the Image of Our Lady of the Rosary, St. Joseph, and the Baby Jesus, along with bronze-sculptured Stations of the Cross that lend the space a refined yet contemporary character.
The chapel also includes a tabernacle, a sacrament house, and a sacristy where priests prepare for liturgical services, ensuring it functions as a full and proper house of worship, not merely a devotional space.
A Church Closer to the People
"We are establishing a mission station here in SM Makati. We are bringing a church closer to the people. The Church wants to be close to you, wants to accompany you where you are, whenever you need maternal guidance."
His Eminence Jose F. Cardinal Advincula, Jr. D.D.
Archbishop of Manila
Our Story
A Solemn Blessing and Celebration of the Holy Eucharist was held at 11 a.m. on the Third Level of SM Makati. The rite was led by His Eminence Jose F. Cardinal Advincula, Jr. D.D., Archbishop of Manila, together with mission station priest Fr. Reginald Malicdem and members of the Sy Family.
The chapel's opening was celebrated in a feature article published in The Philippine Star, highlighting SM's advocacy to bring the Lord closer to the people through mission stations within its malls.
Both the Philippine Daily Inquirer Lifestyle section and The Philippine Star Lifestyle Section C3 published full features on the chapel, bringing national attention to this new spiritual landmark inside SM Makati.
The chapel holds daily masses from Monday to Saturday at 12:15 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. On Sundays and Holidays, masses are held at 12:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. All Masses are also live-streamed on the chapel's Facebook page.
Our Mission Station Priest
Rev. Fr. Reginald Malicdem, more affectionately known as Fr. Regie, presided over the first celebration of the Holy Eucharist during the opening of the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary SM Makati Chapel, marking the beginning of its liturgical and pastoral mission within the community.
Prior to this assignment, he served as the Rector of The Manila Cathedral. He currently serves as the Vicar General and Moderator Curiae of the Archdiocese of Manila, carrying significant responsibilities in the pastoral administration and governance of the Archdiocese.
He was subsequently entrusted with the pastoral care of both the Mary Mother of Hope Landmark Chapel and the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary SM Makati Chapel as its Mission Station Priest. Through his leadership and pastoral guidance, Fr. Regie continues to strengthen the chapels’connection to the wider mission of the Archdiocese, fostering communities of prayer, devotion, and sacramental life within the unique environment of a commercial and commuter-centered setting.
Chapel Location
The chapel is located on the 3rd floor of SM Makati, in a position that is especially convenient for commuters because it is near the exits leading to the MRT station.
This placement makes the chapel easy to reach for office workers, students, travelers, families, and mall visitors who wish to attend Mass or spend time in prayer during the day.
